One good thing I can say about New York subways is that on most days I can find someone handing out a free newspaper outside. In the beginning it was both AmNewYork and Metro. They would compete with each other on the entrance of my station to get people to take their free newspaper. I personally preferred AmNewYork since it had more content. Now it seems that Metro won at end since I have not seen a trace of AmNewYork for some time now.

Yesterday I read a story in Metro. Now these Metro reporters seem to have a much different writing style than more prominent newspapers like Newsday or New York Times. So the Story was about a book, which I believe is called something like "How to be a Slim Bitch". The author started the story by saying "Are you jealous by all those slim bitches and wish you could be more like them?". In that case he has 2 of those "slim bitches" have written a book. Reading this I was thinking what's happening in this society. Is not now all of a suddent to use the word "bitch" or is it still consider profanity? Or perhaps profanity is now okay to use when it's used by a person of the same gender/ethnicity/religion its directed against?
